I recently finished this tootsie pop bag. I stitched together 4 wrappers, and added a fabric lining to the inside. I added a zipper to the top. =)

Making history documentaries was very enjoyable. It was a new experience for me, and a very interesting one. I liked narrating sections of the documentary, and editing. Researching was a more tedious process. I feel like a learned a lot about ancient history through this project. The most frustrating part of the project was the recording. We had to re-record many times, and after awhile, I got quite frustrated with it. I still think that, in the end, the documentaries turned out very well. Even though I got frustrated at times, it was well worth it.
My opinion of the topic my group researched changed somewhat. I learned a lot more than I thought I would through this project. The topic was interesting, and even though I thought I knew a lot about it, there was still so much more to learn about it. I would defiantly enjoy making another documentary in the future. I think that making them was enjoyable, and I felt like I was working on something substantial. I enjoyed making, and watching the documentaries.
I am very happy with the finished product that my group and I created. I believe it has substantial information, and the narration is loud and clear. It wasn’t perfect, but I am very happy with it. If I were to make, or redo a documentary, I would have maybe timed it better. My group was a bit ahead of schedule. We had created calenders, and we overestimated the time we would need for each part of the documentary. For the first half of the documentary progress, my group used the calender. About half way through, we stopped using the calender. I’m sure that for some groups, the calender was a big help.
Everyone in my group was very cooperative. We assigned each other different things to work on in the process of making the documentary. Everyone worked on what we were assigned, which made it easier to stay on track. In the beginning, everyone in the group did their share of research. After that, we split up to work on our assigned section of the documentary. Everyone cooperated very nicely.
We made our own rubrics, which was different then what I’m used to. As much as I want to like making our own rubrics, I can’t. Personally, I like it better when I’m giving the guidelines. I’m not saying making our own rubrics was a bad thing, I’m just saying that it wasn’t what I’m used to. By writing my own rubric, I learned that I shouldn’t set my expectations too high, or too low.
Making the documentaries was a good way of learning ancient history. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning of the project, but since we started working on it, researching the topic, writing the essay, recording, and editing, I found myself liking it more. I learned a lot from researching the topic. What I liked most about it was, instead of just writing an essay, we actually did something with that information, and made it into something.

I found this article last week while I was searching for my article for CSL CTA 4. The article is about worldwide hunger and poverty. It mentions how people would like to solve hunger by giving food to everyone in the world. However, that doesn’t work. Because poverty leads to hunger, we should be helping homelessness and poverty. If we let poverty get out-of-hand, we could struggle even more with hunger issues.
For my PLP, I will be making a video on leopard gecko health and behavioral issues. Since I have a leopard gecko, (he is a sweet little male A.P.T.O.R leopard gecko) he will be helping me make the video. I’m not sure when it will be ready, all I know is that it will be done before the end of the school year. I’ll post it to my tumbleblog when it’s done.
This article explains about homelessness in America. It mentions drug and alcohol abuse, and mental illness. The article also mentions how the homeless effect the general public. Homelessness is a serious problem in America, and may never be fully taken care of. Even if we gave the homeless (all of the homeless people in America) enough money to live off of, some of them don’t know how to use the money correctly. Some may have mental disabilities, or may have alcohol or drug obsession.
